Its Been a While..and updated

Wow, time flies when you're unpacking!

I'm not even sure who or how many people read this thing but I like it (when I can get to it)..

So lets see, we're officially 100% moved in, not all the boxes are unpacked but the inside of the house no longer looks like a bomb went off and put crap everywhere, so we are making progress!

I have been able to decide what project I want to start next, its for my husband and its called a Two Strand Jacket, its a pattern from Patons Men Book # 500840 its simple, yet I think he'll love it! I let him pick out the colors he wants, he chose an Espresso for most of it and a Navy for the edging.

I'm making good progress on the Boy's Striped Cardigan for my little man. I have the back done, and the right panel done. I'm currently working on the left panel and then I can start putting it together! I'm quite excited to get it done and see it on my little man!

Original Post on 7/18/08
Its been a while since I've been able to update this thing...where to start...
July 2nd my husband and I went to see a house
July 3rd we put an offer in on the house
July 4th we learned that the sellers accepted our offer

We really busted our butts to get the ball rolling and everything together because..
July 4th we had a mini family reunion with my husbands immediate family
July 5th we had a huge family reunion with my husbands family (his mom's side)
July 6th we left for a week long vacation
Needless to say we've been extremely busy along with the house, vacation, work and spending time together as a family -- we are worn out!

We are set to close on our house on Monday July 21st...sounds like things would start maybe winding down...NOPE..
July 21st @ 2pm Close on new house
After closing I go to tour 2 new daycares close to our new home for our little one
July 22-? we move all of our stuff into our new house. One of the best things about our new house...I WILL HAVE A CRAFT ROOM!
Though I don't expect to get that 100% settled and organized for a bit, we have some landscaping to do, some hard wood floors to lay (mainly my hubby but I will try to assist) and of course, organizing our new home!

I will update as I find the time - and hopefully will not fall back on my knitting!

Boy's Striped Cardigan

This I came across and just fell in love with for my little man. Over the weekend I bought all the supplies I would need...and luckily the yarn was 50% off! I bought double the yarn (just in case) and hopefully I won't mess up too badly...I am going to start on it this week hopefully so that it will be finished in time for the cool weather.

*Update*
Finally on the left front panel...its coming along nicely - I should have it done before the cool weather starts!

The Biggle Scarf

This one so far has proven to be pretty easy. Though I have changed needles 3 times to get the right effect I wanted. These are just pictures of what the final product will look like...I'm only on my second square, but not too bad for starting it at my knitting group last night. I did learn, with the help of Barb how to do a Cable Cast-on. Pretty easy once you know what you are doing! :-)

Smokin' Jacket

I got this pattern from Son of Stitch 'n Bitch - making it for my new hubby.

It is a cross between a smokers jacket, a cardigan and tweed.

Finding the yarn has proven to be a challenge so far, I'm hoping a local store will have it - otherwise I will have to rely (once again) on the wonderful Internet and have it shipped in.

I think he'll look great in it!

*Update on search for yarn*
OK well looking around, this yarn will run me about $15/skein...ouch! I need about 14 skein's..that's about $210 JUST FOR THE YARN...I did however find a website that sells it at about $9.80/skein...so that's a bit less of a heart attack! (and free shipping over $75) ... http://www.yarncountry.com/

Saving the pennies and budgeting it into my fun money so I can get started on this lovely HUGE project!

Chaco Stripe Afghan

Well as you can see, my current project is quite a challenge for me. But HURRAY I'm just about finished!! I will put up some photos of it when it's 100% complete!

I hope to get some photos up...but I didn't take any "steps" photos...but I'll get some photos of half put together and the individual panels.

Hmm...what to start next...
